The national exemption for zero-emissions vehicles has been revoked. This means that road tolls for this type of vehicle may be levied in individual road toll projects at the discretion of local political authorities.

However, the Storting has established that payments by zero-emissions vehicles should not exceed 50 per cent of the ordinary toll, less discounts for tags.

Zero emissions vehicles require an electronic tag and valid agreement in order to pay tolls.
