These rate groups apply when passing through tolls in Norway:
All foreign vehicles must register the vehicles’s Euro class and fuel type at www.autopass.no/ed in order to be charged the correct rate by toll road companies with environmental differentiation. Failure to register will result in the highest rate in tariff group 1 or 2 being charged.
Mopeds/motorcycles only pay toll fees at the sole manual toll station: Atlanterhavstunnelen, which uses separate fee categories.
The M1 vehicle category includes passenger vehicles with a maximum of eight seats in addition to the driver's seat. Most motorhomes, camper vans and certain large cars are included in this vehicle category.
There is a requirement of an electronic tag with a valid agreement in order for vehicles above 3,501 kg in vehicle group M1 to be included in rate group 1.
This scheme applies to all toll stations, with the exception of toll fees on ferries. The manual toll station, Atlanterhavstunnelen, also has additional rate groups: Read more at www.atlanterhavstunnelen.no
Norwegian vehicles in vehicle group M1 with an AutoPASS toll tag and valid agreement, are automatically included in rate group 1.
Owners of foreign-registered vehicles in vehicle group M1 with an AutoPASS toll tag and a valid agreement must contact their toll road company to ensure that they are charged in rate group 1.
Owners of vehicles above 3,500 kg in category M1 using different types of EasyGo toll tags than AutoPASS, must contact their tag issuer to ensure that they are charged according to rate group 1 at toll stations in Norway.
