How do I pay toll in Norway?
If you are staying in Norway less than three months, you can pay toll Online (Visitors' Payment). Register your credit card number, and drive through without stopping to pay at toll plazas marked "AutoPASS".
If you are staying in Norway for more than three months, you are recommended to sign an AutoPASS contract with one of the
Toll Operators in Norway.
I have traveled in Norway and I didn`t know how to pay toll. What do I do?
Several toll plazas in Norway are automatic, where you drive through without stopping. If you don´t have an AutoPASS or a
Visitors' Payment contract, an invoice is sent to the vehicle owner by standard mail. You can pay toll Online (Visitors' Payment) by registering your credit card up to 14 days after your first toll point pass. You can also pay toll
at facilities, such as, petrol stations close to the toll station within three working days after passing the toll point.
Look for the sign: “Kr-service”.
I have received an invoice with extra fine, why?
There are to types of toll plazas in Norway: 1) automatic toll plazas where your drive through without stopping and paying.
You will receive an invoice for your passages with no extra charge. 2) other toll plazas with AutoPASS lanes for vehicles
with AutoPASS or Visitors' Payment contract and lanes for manual payment. If you drive throuh in the AutoPASS-lane without
an AutoPASS or Visitors payement contract, you will risk a fine.
What does the yellow light mean?
Toll plazas with lanes for AutoPASS and lanes for manual payment use yellow light to indicate that the licence plate is photographed. If
you have a valid AutoPASS or Visitors' Payemt contract, a deduction is made from your account. If you don`t have a contract,
you will risk a fine for not having paid for the passage.
